Equity Group of Michigan is representing a privately held, growth-oriented Insurance Client seeking to acquire and consolidate independent insurance agencies across the Midwest.
Our client, a licensed full-line insurance carrier, is actively looking to expand its distribution footprint through the acquisition of high-performing P&C and multi-line insurance agencies. The goal is to build a strong regional presence while preserving the legacy, culture, and personnel of acquired agencies.
Acquisition Criteria
Primary Business:
Independent Insurance Agencies or Brokers
(Focus on Property & Casualty; Life & Health optional but not required)
Target Geography:
Midwestern U.S. – Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa
Ideal Agency Profile:
- Strong client retention
- Established book of business with a recurring revenue model
- Proven sales/CSR teams with deep community ties
- Strong carrier relationships
Financial Performance:
Open – reviewing agencies from $5M to $20M in premium volume
Deal Structure:
Our client is flexible and willing to offer a mix of upfront cash, earnouts, and/or seller-financing. Opportunities to retain owners or key producers post-acquisition are available, with full operational integration or independent branding based on the agency’s preference. Our client is targeting transactions for Q1–Q3 2026.
