Equity Group of Michigan is working with a privately owned Mid-West based Electrical Services company to acquire additional commercial electrical contractors.  Our client is specifically looking for utility, substation, and line contractors.  They are undergoing rapid growth and wish to geographic footprint with the intention of maintaining operations and employees at the acquired site(s).

Criteria  

Primary Business: Midwestern Commercial Electrical Contractor

Geography: The central US corridor of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Financial Performance: Open- depending on the opportunity

Deal Structure: Our client is willing to invest significant cash upfront combined with a traditional bank or seller financing. They will consider keeping the seller and existing management team onboard post-acquisition as needed. Our client wishes to complete the transaction in Q2-Q4 of 2022.

About the Client

Our client is a holding company originally formed in the early 2000s. Their services span electrical, infrastructure, highway specialty, telecommunications, and fiber optics for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects.  With additional divisions that include a mechanical contractor specializing in commercial, industrial, and institutional piping, plumbing, and sheet metal work. The companies are based in the Mid-West with offices in the Southwest.
